Welcome to our website.
A message from our Commandant: David Swickard
Thank you for visiting the Treasure Valley Detachment’s web site. We hope that you find it enlightening and helpful.
Let me take this opportunity to relate to you some of the purposes of the Treasure Valley Detachment of the Marine Corps League, as stated in our By-Laws:
- to preserve the traditions and to promote the interests of the United States Marine Corps;
- to band those now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those honorably discharged from that service, together in fellowship that they may more effectively promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy;
- to fit its members for duties of citizenship and encourage them to serve as ably as citizens as they have served the Nation under arms;
- to create a bond of comradeship between all Marines, those in the service and those who have returned to civilian life.
If you are not a member of the League, are or were a Marine, are or were an FMF Corpsman, have someone in your life who is or was a Marine, we invite you to come and join us. Join us in a variety of veteran’s activities and charitable works. Click on the “About TVD” link above and see some of the opportunities available to join us.
We look forward to seeing you. May God Bless the United States of America, and Our Marine Corps.
Semper Fidelis.
David Swickard
