11th Street & Bannack Street
This year’s Veterans Day Parade will take place in downtown Boise on Saturday November 4th. The parade will begin at 0930; however, members participating must plan on being in place in the parade assembly are no later than 0900.
The parade should be complete by 1130, which means that given our location in the Order of March, the detachment should complete its march about 1100.
We will meet at our staging area, which is on 11th Street and Bannock St. Our arrival time is set for 0900. We have been informed that there will be limited parking at the lot on the NE corner of Bannock and 11th. The vehicles that will be in the parade (including the coffee wagon) need to be in place by 0810. Riders can arrive prior to 0900.
The Parade will start at 0930, and we are in the middle this year. The Young Marines will proceed us and C Co, 4th Tanks will be behind us in the order of march.
Uniform for the Parade will be warm clothing. Would appreciate anyone who comes to wear their MCL cover if you have one and the Red Sweatshirt would also be nice, or a red USMC jacket. Weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and around 66 degrees F.
I need to know who intends to bring their trucks for riding in the parade and Dick Keplingher is intending to bring the coffee wagon.
If you plan to participate with the detachment, then please let Bill know. Let’s have a good turnout.
